LC Team head to the Bedford River Festival
This July, Little City Milton Keynes headed to the Bedford River Festival to offer a free play experience for hundreds of local families. Led by owner Jen, with support from Little City teams from across the country, we all enjoyed a fantastic weekend of food, fun, and role play!
The Bedford River Festival is a biennial event that started in 1978. Hosted in the heart of the town, it features hundreds of activities both on and off the river, stage performances, and community stalls. Attracting close to 300,000 visitors across the weekend, it was an absolute privilege to be invited to set up in the family garden area.
A massive thanks goes out to Kate, one of Jen's customers who had previously attended local Little City events. She thought Little City would be a huge attraction for the festival, and she wasn't wrong! It was incredible to offer families the opportunity to come and play for free, with some guests staying for hours and others visiting multiple times throughout the weekend.
We are hoping to offer this experience again at Bedford's next big event, the biennial Kite Festival, and return for the Bedford River Festival's 50th anniversary in 2028!
