If you can no longer attend the event you have booked you may transfer your booking to a future event via the booking system. Yes! Of course you can! Non-walking babies/babes in arms are free to come along with an older sibling. We just ask that you aim to keep buggies/pushchairs away from the playing area to keep it safe for everyone and allowing lots of space for the children to play and run around in. If you can, please park buggies and pushchairs in the venue communal areas and use slings where possible. If you need a chair to feed baby, please let us know; we’d be more than happy to provide one for you.
We recommend our events for confident walking children and up - it’s very dependent on the child and their development but we often see little ones around 14/15 months actively engaging in role play (serving tea in the cafe and serving food behind the tills!)
If your child isn’t yet walking (but is fully into their role play!) or needs aids to walk and stand, just let us know so we can adapt and change the City to suit your child's needs.
Yes, absolutely. We just ask that you ensure all snacks and drinks are kept away from the toys and playing area, and that children wash their hands after eating or drinking. This is to keep the toys nice and fresh but also to ensure that we keep the toys and equipment safe for children who may suffer food or contact allergies.
Any child who is unwell or showing symptoms of chicken pox, sickness, diarrhoea, flu, COVID, hand foot and mouth, conjunctivitis or any other contagious virus or disease should not be brought to play in the City.
As per our terms and conditions we reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone who is visibly unwell. We have a duty of care to keep everyone as safe as possible. If you are unable to attend due to illness, please login to the booking system 24 hours before the event and you may transfer your ticket to a future event.
At Little City we recognise that as adults we don’t often have a lot of time to play with our children - we reduce the chairs in the room to create a space where you can enjoy your little one doing what they do best - playing and exploring! We love you to get involved too, where you can and have some fun together. Having said that, if you need a chair for any reason - please just ask - we’re more than happy to get them for you; we just ask that they are kept away from the play area so the children have space to play and we don’t cause any obstructions or trip hazards.
Yes - depending on the location of the event you can bring extra adults to play with your child(ren) - in some instances we might limit the additional adults in the room (this is for everyone's safety and comfort) - if you need to add on an extra adult to your existing booking, get in touch with your local branch who will be happy to help.
We welcome older siblings up to age 6 in school holidays - all children playing in the City must be booked on to the session. If you have an older teenager/child who won’t play but may sit quietly in the room then they do not need a child ticket but may need an ‘extra adult’ ticket. For more information, speak to your local branch member,
Yes of course - we very much encourage you to take lot of photos of your child playing (don’t forget to put the phone down sometimes though, your little one wants to play with you!) - and if you are sharing them on social media, please do tag us in! We just kindly request that you only take photos of YOUR child; some children do not have permission for photos to go online.
As a team, we like to take photos of our events too - which is why we ask your permission at the point of booking and in person if we are taking photos. We will never publish any photos on our social media pages without your permission to take it first.
very child is different and every child plays differently with the resources we provide. As a general rule of thumb (but of course every child develops differently, too!) we recommend children 14/15 months and up to come and play - it's at those ages that they start engaging in the props/toys and in particular the Post Office, Cafe and Supermarket (food is instantly recognisable even when it’s pretend!) - we welcome non-walking babies and cruising however we do always offer this with caution as there can be older children in and around the City on the ride on toys and trolleys, and we don’t want any little fingers squished!
The main centre of the City is the same each time but we may add in additional toys and resources throughout the year (Halloween, Christmas, Spring and Summer for example).
We also change what we call our ‘enhancement areas’ monthly/bi-monthly. These are sections of the City that are themed by season or by special event, for example, we add in a Pizza oven, Spring Cleaning, Baby Nursing, Hot Chocolate Stand, Shoe Shop and lots more. Our regular visitors will love exploring these new and changing areas each time they visit!
